General

  • If ever, there are questions about your developing needs I will contact you before getting to it.

I appreciate you trusting me with your film and just want you to know that I care about getting your shots right.

  • Beau Photo is your best bet. If that doesn’t work you can reach out and we can work something out.

When you drop off at Beau, they’ll give you an EXPOSED FILM card to fill out. Make sure your info is legible with your contact info and you’re good to go.

You can make payment through the website on the Shop page

Sending Us Your Film

  • Right now the best way to get me your film is to drop it at Beau Photo. The staff will give you an EXPOSED FILM card to fill out.

Once I pick up your film we’ll get in touch if we have any questions before developing.

Developing

  • C-41, B&W and ECN-2 processing.

If you have slide film (E-6) that you need processed we can arrange that. Right now it's just by special request but that may change if there is a high demand.

  • We’re set up to develop 35mm and 120 (medium format) roll film.

    8mm/16mm film coming soon!

  • We’re happy to offer push/pull processing. Make sure you’ve made a note of the rolls when dropping off your film at Beau.

  • Pushing and pulling means that those rolls can’t go in the same bath as non-pushed rolls. Often that leads to additional developing rounds for yours truly.

Scanning

  • Unfortunately, for the time being I'm too busy to keep up with scanning demands while maintaining quality.

I've decided to stop it all together until I can dedicate more time to making your scans shine.

  • We scan negatives using a DSLR scanning setup. That means we are at the mercy of our camera’s megapixel cap. For the majority of negatives we use our dedicated in-house Fujifilm X-T3 mirrorless camera. This gives us a 26mp scan which works out to about 6400x4100. That can be printed at over 100cm large without any issue.

  • All scans are white balanced and converted. We always do the best we can to remove dust spots left behind. With your scans you’ll get a digital contact sheet as well.

Images get cropped (full frame, slight film border, no border) to your specs.

Files will come back to you at the largest size possible (depending on desired crop) in either TIFF or JPEG (dealers choice).

If you have specific needs, reach out and lets come up with a plan.

  • We believe you want the best quality you can get. Scans of your negatives may end up with a little crop but at max will be around 6400x4100

  • Once complete, we will send a link to your scans via WeTransfer.

  • No, it does not. Lots of people have their own scanning setup so for that reason we don’t package it with the film and developing.
